Monetary Situation: does well with her career as an art dealer, but if that went bad, inherited a substantial amount from her recently deceased father, Charles Deveaux, founder of the Deveaux Society.

Lately, another conflict has arisen, between her, and two men: Issac Mendez, the man she is currently seeing, whom she loves, but cannot tolerate his drug habit; and Peter Petrelli, the hospice nurse who took care of her father in his last days, who seems much more than just a caring young man ...

Significant Other: Was in a relationship with an artist, Issac Mendez, but that was broken off due to a drug problem of Issac's. Flirtation and mutual attraction with Peter Petrelli, that may or may not lead to something more.

Brief Family History: Father Charles Deveaux was a wealthy businessman who found success via the stock market. Also, Mr. Deveaux founded the Deveaux Society to "fund causes that bettered the world." He owns the Deveaux Building, which Simone inherited after her father passed away.

Personality

First Impression (others have of you): Professional, confident art dealer who tries to be more than she seems. Prone to giving ultimatums. Gives up easily when things do not go as she plans.
Life Philosophy: "To love. May we stay away from it when it's no good for us."
General Behavior: Emotional. Things always seem to flip Simone upside down - when things go one way, she usually expected something else, and vice versa.
Quirks & Habits: Over-analyzing everything, ever conscious of everyone's emotions. She has this bad habit of chewing on her fingernails when things get too stressful.
Flaws: Suspicious, overly emotional. She has a hard time trusting people, especially when what they are saying defies all rational beliefs.
Likes: People who can express their emotions. Art. Mostly, she likes walking around the streets of NYC, watching all the people, and imagining what they feel - the happiness of a child learning to ride his bike through central park, to the depression that a lonely homeless man feels, sitting alone with his pigeons.

Past Relationships:
Issac Mendez: artist whom she met when he came to her, for help selling his paintings. Sweet, sensitive, but had a nasty drug problem that seemed almost impossible to get rid off. However, when Issac did manage to get clean, it was too late - Simone had already moved on to the beginnings of a potential relationship with Peter Petrelli.
Peter Petrelli: hospice nurse who took care of Simone's dying father. Saved the life of Simone's boyfriend-at-the-time, Issac, from overdosing. His kindness and caring attracted Simone, and they ended up spending a night together, however Simone isn't quite sure as to where the relationship will do from that point ...
Attitude Toward Sex: Only happens when she connects on an emotional level.
Attitude Toward Love: Only falls in love when she feels that the other person loves her back as much.

The Fun Stuff

Favorite drink order: I rarely drink, but when I do, it's wine - usually Bordeaux wine, just because it rhymes with my last name.
How many drinks does it take you to get drunk?: one glass of wine makes me light headed, 2 make me speak more than usual ... 5 make me think I can feel everyone's emotions.
To pass out face-down in a puddle of lukewarm beer?: that does not happen to me - far too much ~classy~ for that. :-)

Describe your first sexual encounter: I was 18, backpacking across Europe. I happened to stop for a few weeks in France. Some of the world's most amazing art is found there. Anyway, while exploring the Louvre, I met this young Parisian, Jacque. We connected on every level. It was as if I could feel all his emotions. Later, that night, we made love in the Champs de Mars, in the silohoutte of the Eiffel Tower. It was beautiful. I never did see him again after that night ...
Share a dirty secret with the group: I may come off nonthreatening, but I sometimes wish to hurt people. Really hurt. Make them feel pain. Because if they can feel pain, maybe I can stop hurting.
